11 days have passed since the start of 2024, they have gone by so fast for me! Juggling between work and my personal projects, searching for a spark of inspiration and tons of coffee to keep me going. I was so worried at the end of last year, trying to figure it out! What’s my fuel? What is my passion? and I went back 3 years ago, remembering one of the last conversations I had with my mother while she was in the hospital.. Mamma, what am I gonna do when you are gone? I was so scared, so afraid not only was I losing my mother and needed more time for answers. And she kindly told me.. you must do what makes you happy! And I answered back, how do I know what makes me happy?, And she said, you will know what makes you happy when you do it all over again, one more time and you never stop having fun.
And now I know! My passion is fashion, my fuel is creativity. Giving birth to a fashion brand, and keep it going, season after season. Another thing that I learned from last year is to be thankful for everything, and that you get what you give.
Also returning to blog, writing makes me happy. Doing interviews with very cool people in the fashion industry, traveling and taking long walks to do some cool hunting. Reading is also one of my favorite hobbies.
I got this very cool book by the musician Dave Grohl from The Foo Fighters ” The Story Teller” , man! I was trying to find it last year and It was sold out everywhere here in Mexico, now it’s in my 2024 reading list. Some of my favorite songs from the Foo Fighters really got to me when I was having a rough time growing up, between being a teenager and becoming a grown up. I am glad I had the chance to see them perform live in my country once, a few years ago.
Amazing book! Must read of 2024!
