Yesterday I had the chance to go to Galería L to visit the collection “No One’s Land” ( La Tierra de Nadie) by fashion designer Ximena Corcuera. I found the collection and exhibition very moving, just a couple of weeks ago we faced Donald’s Trump deportation and migrant situation and it broke my heart to witness families being pulled apart. Ximena captured her feelings towards this migration issue many people are facing, and each story every migrant has lived. It touches very sensitive fibers… Originally this collection was presented at The Rakuten Fashion Week in Tokyo, time before Trump’s announcement. The collection is amazing, I loved the use of texture and how it all came together. Each garment tells a story, I recommend you to go to visit the exhibition as soon as you can!
